Registration for this year’s Religious Formation Summer Program will take place online from Saturday, February 4 AT 9:00 AM through Saturday, February 18 AT 9:00 AM. The registration process will resemble the paperwork similar to years past, just without the need to come to St. Mary to drop off paperwork.
Payment for the program can be made online. For those who wish to pay in person, payment can be dropped off at the Parish Office following online registration.
This year’s program will boast a new series for our students, provided by St. Mary Press. Grades 1-5 will take part in Discover: Finding Faith in Life. This full year program will be abbreviated for our summer program, with a focus on major Biblical stories and the meaning they have for us in everyday life. Grades 6 – 8 will study Connect: Bringing Faith to Life. Building upon what students discovered in Grades 1 – 5, Connect delves into Catholic theology and how it applies to the many situations faced in life, including moral dilemmas and spiritual struggles.
The Religious Formation is always looking for catechists/teachers to help educate our students during the summer program. Anyone interested in being a catechist, aide, or provide assistance to the program can reach out to the Religious Formation Office via email, religiousformation@stmaryrutherford.org. Questions concerning the summer program, online registration process, or curriculum can be emailed to religiousformation@stmaryrutherford.org. We look forward to welcoming our students back to our summer program and providing a newly designed, engaging, and lively program that truly helps bring our Catholic faith to life through discovery and connection to each and every student’s individual experiences.
